Messsage Backup Terms and Conditions.

To use, preview, download and/or subscribe for Message Backup service, you will have to be a subscriber of Maxis' postpaid and prepaid (Hotlink) service.

Subscription, access and usage of this Message Backup Service shall be subject to the terms and conditions for Website Use and Postpaid Service or Prepaid Service.

1. Charges
You will be charged subscription of RM2.00 per month, with additional GPRS traffic at RM0.01/KB or SMS costs at RM0.15 per SMS and MMS costs at RM0.25 per MMS.

You are advised to check against the specific details of the Message Backup service so as to ascertain the exact charges that are applicable.

Please note that you will be charged for the Message Backup service even if the Message Backup service was used, subscribed, downloaded and/or viewed by a third party using your mobile phone and/or SIM card registered to you and/or your details registered to your SIM card. If the mobile phone does not belong to you or if someone else is paying the mobile phone bill please obtain that person's consent prior to using the same.

2. Payment
You hereby agree to promptly pay all amounts due to Maxis as reflected in your official bill statement and for all charges whatsoever for occasioned by the use of the Message Backup service irrespective of whether the such charges were authorised by you or has arisen from any other causes whatsoever.

3. Registration
Please be informed that you may be required to register your particulars to be able to subscribe, use, view and/or download the Message Backup service. You are required, for this purpose, to provide Maxis with complete and accurate information about yourself. You must update the said information if there are any changes.

4. Equipment
You will remain solely responsible to ensure that the mobile phone equipment used by you are compatible for the Message Backup service which you subscribe and use. You will continue to be liable for the cost of the subscription even if you unable to use or view the Message Backup service. If you are unsure whether your mobile phone is compatible with the Message Backup service, please consult your mobile phone handbook or call 123 for postpaid or 1300 820 120 for prepaid or visit http://www.messagebackup.maxis.com.my. Maxis will not be held responsible should you attempt to use the Message Backup service onto an incompatible phone.

5. Termination and Suspension
Maxis reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, terminate or suspend the Message Backup service for any reason whatsoever at its sole discretion without notice to you. You agree that Maxis shall not be liable to you or to any other party for such cancellation, withdrawal, termination or suspension.

You may terminate the Message Backup service at anytime.
